Open any web browser and go to the Instagram website, and navigate to the user’s page which contains the Instagram video you wish to save.
Right-click anywhere outside of the video post on the Instagram page.
A context menu will appear, click on ‘View Page Source’ or ‘Inspect Element’. There may be various options under different names depending on the browser.
A new tab will open, displaying a source code for the entire page.
By using the following keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl+F on Windows or Cmd+F Mac, start the browser’s ‘Find Field.’
A search field will appear, after which you should enter the following text in it: mp4
Several results will appear which will be highlighted, each complemented by a URL.
Copy the first URL and paste the copied URL onto a new tab. Press Enter.
The video will start to load in its own standalone player. Right-click anywhere on the video and click on ‘Save Video As.’
A pop-up box will open where you can enter the filename and location where you would like to save the MP4 video file on your hard drive.
